Haier Robotics, Oak Deer Robotics Join Forces on Hands-Free Home AI Cooking Robot
Haier Robotics and Oak Deer Robotics have announced a strategic partnership to develop a new generation of fully automatic AI cooking robots for home kitchens, promising a truly hands-free experience from ingredient prep to finished dish.
Haier Robotics and Oak Deer Robotics today entered into a strategic cooperation agreement, setting their sights on revolutionizing the home kitchen with a next-generation fully automatic AI cooking robot. The partnership, revealed on July 29, will focus on the Chinese cuisine ecosystem, AI technology capabilities, home scenario applications, and supply chain coordination.
The flagship product is designed to deliver on a “hands-free” promise across the entire cooking process. According to the companies, the robot will automatically dispense seasonings and ingredients, handle intelligent stirring, and manage the entire workflow without user intervention. By integrating Haier’s proprietary AI Vision technology, the system can accurately identify mainstream-brand ready-to-cook ingredient packs, eliminating the need for washing, cutting, or other tedious preparation steps, and automatically match the appropriate recipe.
At the heart of the robot lies an AI cooking large model that claims to faithfully replicate the skills of a master chef. It precisely controls heat, adjusts seasoning to taste, and mimics professional stir-frying techniques to restore the authentic wok hei — the coveted breath of the wok. The recipe library is organized around six efficacy categories such as beauty and skin care, spleen and stomach nourishment, and low-fat slimming, covering the dietary needs of eight different family member profiles including the elderly, children, and fitness enthusiasts.
The fruits of this collaboration will make their official debut at the World Robot Conference (WRC) in Beijing this August. Separately, Oak Deer Robotics announced it will also unveil its independently developed multimodal cooking AI base and an embodied cooking robot named “Now-Frying Ark” at the same event.
